Surviving sexual abuse changes how safe the world feels. It can show up years later, or it can be fresh and raw. Either way, the weight of it is real, and carrying it alone is exhausting. There is no timeline you are supposed to follow and nothing about your reaction that is wrong. My job is to give you a place where you can set some of that weight down and begin to heal at a pace that belongs to you.
I have more than 20 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults affected by sexual abuse. Before opening my practice, I spent over a decade at one of Los Angeles's leading agencies, helping young survivors of abuse and trauma. During that time I trained and worked as a certified UCLA Rape Treatment Center and Sexual Assault Counselor. That background informs everything I do here: trauma informed, careful, and never rushed.
My office is in Agoura Hills, about 35 minutes from Studio City on the 101 West. I also offer secure virtual sessions across California. For survivors who value privacy, that distance from the immediate neighborhood and the option to meet from a place you feel safe can matter a great deal.

The effects of sexual abuse reach into every part of life, and they look different for everyone. Survivors often experience some combination of the following:
If any of this sounds familiar, you are not broken and you are not overreacting. These are normal responses to something that should never have happened, and they can ease with the right support.
Studio City is a public-facing place. Many people here work in entertainment, where reputation and visibility are part of the job, and that can make the idea of seeking help for something this private feel risky. I want to take that worry off the table. What you share in our sessions is confidential, within the limits required by law, and my office sits well outside the immediate neighborhood. No one needs to know you are here. The discretion of this work is not an afterthought. It is part of what makes healing possible.
I see survivors at every stage, from people processing something recent to those finally addressing abuse from childhood that they buried to keep functioning. There is no single right time to start. If part of you has been waiting for permission, consider this it.
Healing from sexual abuse cannot be forced, so I do not try. We move at your pace, in a setting that is safe, confidential, and free of judgment. I offer individual therapy, a one on one space to process what happened and build coping strategies, and family therapy when abuse has affected the people around you and you want to heal together. Throughout, I use trauma informed methods that help you process the experience without being overwhelmed by it. You can read more about my general approach on my sexual abuse therapy page.
Over time, this work can bring relief from symptoms like flashbacks and difficulty trusting, repair in relationships that the abuse strained, and a return of the self worth that abuse so often steals. The goal is not to erase what happened. It is to take away its power over your daily life so you can move forward feeling more like yourself.
If you or a loved one has been a victim of sexual abuse in the last five days and live in the Los Angeles area, please contact The Rape Treatment Center for medical services and advocacy at 424-259-7208 (24-Hour Emergency Care).
If you live outside of the greater Los Angeles area, go to RAINN.org to find a medical facility near you that can provide an exam and mental health services. If it has been more than five days and you wish to press charges, please contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
Healing from sexual abuse happens at your pace, in a safe and confidential space. I have extensive training supporting survivors, including certification through the UCLA Rape Treatment Center, and I use trauma informed methods to help you process what happened and rebuild a sense of safety. Yes. I have spent much of my career supporting children and adolescents recovering from sexual trauma, using age appropriate approaches, alongside adult survivors. I work with children ages 8 and up, tweens, teens, and adults.
Privacy is something many of my Studio City clients care about, especially those whose work keeps them in the public eye. What you share is confidential, within the limits required by law. My office in Agoura Hills sits a comfortable distance from the immediate neighborhood, and secure virtual sessions let you meet from wherever you feel safest.
It is never too late. Many survivors carry abuse from childhood for decades before they feel ready to address it, often because they had to keep functioning. Therapy can help whether the abuse was recent or happened long ago. There is no expiration date on the right to heal.
My office at 28310 Roadside Dr. #249 in Agoura Hills is about 35 minutes from Studio City via the 101 West. Secure virtual sessions are also available anywhere in California if meeting from home feels safer or more practical.
