Surviving sexual abuse leaves marks that are not always visible. You may keep functioning, going to work, raising kids, getting through the days, while carrying something heavy that you have never fully said out loud. Reaching out for help can feel like the hardest part. If you are reading this, you have already done something difficult, and I want you to know there is a way forward.
I have more than 20 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults heal from sexual abuse and trauma. Before opening my practice, I spent over a decade at one of the leading agencies in Los Angeles specializing in this work, and I became a certified UCLA Rape Treatment Center / Sexual Assault Counselor, supporting survivors directly at the center. My job is to give you a safe, private, and nonjudgmental space to heal at a pace you control.
My office is at 28310 Roadside Dr. in Agoura Hills, about 25 minutes from Tarzana on the 101 West. Secure virtual sessions are available across California for survivors who feel more comfortable starting from home.

Privacy matters in this work, and it matters even more in a connected community like Tarzana, where people often know each other through schools, the Tarzana Recreation Center, or the businesses along Ventura Boulevard. What you share in session stays confidential, within the limits required by law. My office sits outside the immediate Tarzana area, which gives some clients added peace of mind, and virtual sessions let you do this work from a place where you feel safe. You decide what to share and when.
The effects of sexual abuse can reach into every part of life, and they often show up long after the abuse itself. Survivors I work with describe a range of experiences, including:
If any of this sounds familiar, none of it is your fault, and none of it means you are broken. These are normal responses to something that should never have happened to you.
We go at your pace, and you are never pushed to talk about more than you are ready for. In individual therapy, you have a confidential space to process what happened and build coping strategies that help you feel safer in your own life. When it helps, I also offer family therapy, because abuse affects the people around the survivor too, and families often need support to communicate and heal together. You can read more about my general approach on my sexual abuse therapy page.
Over time, this work tends to bring real relief: fewer flashbacks and less fear, steadier relationships built on restored trust, and a return of the self worth that abuse so often takes. Healing is not about pretending it did not happen. It is about loosening its grip so it no longer runs your life.
If you or a loved one has experienced sexual abuse in the last five days and live in the Los Angeles area, please contact The Rape Treatment Center for medical services and advocacy.

If you live outside the greater Los Angeles area, visit RAINN.org to find a facility near you that can provide an exam and mental health services.
If it has been more than five days and you wish to press charges, please get in touch with the nearest law enforcement agency.
Healing from sexual abuse happens at your pace, in a safe and confidential space. I have extensive training supporting survivors, including certification through the UCLA Rape Treatment Center, and I use trauma-informed methods to help you process what happened and rebuild a sense of safety. Sessions are held at my Agoura Hills office or by secure video.
Yes. Much of my career has been spent helping children and adolescents recover from sexual trauma using age-appropriate approaches, and I work with adult survivors as well. When a young person is involved, I bring parents into the process in a way that supports the child.
Yes. What you share in session is confidential, within the limits required by law. In a close community like Tarzana, privacy can feel especially important, and a discreet setting is part of what makes this work possible. I take that responsibility seriously.
My office at 28310 Roadside Dr. in Agoura Hills is about 25 minutes from Tarzana on the 101 West, set apart from the immediate neighborhood for added privacy. I also offer secure video sessions anywhere in California, which many survivors prefer when they are first starting.
It is not too late. Many of the survivors I work with carried what happened for years, even decades, before reaching out. Old abuse can still shape sleep, trust, relationships, and self worth in the present. Therapy can help no matter how long ago it occurred.
My office in Agoura Hills, CA 91301 is a short, private drive from Tarzana for in-person sexual abuse therapy. I also work with survivors from the surrounding Valley communities, including Encino, CA, Woodland Hills, CA, and Reseda, CA. Virtual therapy sessions are available to anyone located anywhere within the state of California.
When you are ready, reaching out is a step toward getting your life back. Schedule a complimentary phone consultation and we can go at whatever pace feels right for you.
